Today on Self-care Saturday I want to talk to you about what to do when you just don’t know what to do anymore.  Something happened to me this past week, which gave me the idea for this Self-care Saturday.  I had a situation that was out of my control, and I was hoping it would turn out in the best way possible. I prayed about it. I did my due diligence.  I took all the steps I needed to take in order for it to be solved.

Then I moved away from it. I watched something inspiring that took my mind off it.  And, I realized that it was “in the hands of of the gods.”  I had done everything I could and it was out of my hands. The one thing that really helped was, yes, I basically got out of my own way.

Allow space for change to happen

So when things are difficult and we’ve done everything we can, it’s good to get out of our own way, because our mind can stay stuck in the pattern of, “Oh, how am I going to solve this?” “What am I going to do?” And that is not good. Once I got out of my way, I took a mental break. I went for a walk. I watched something that took my mind off of the issue completely. And then when I came back, I sat down, and I wrote a list.

Use writing to activate a more positive perspective

I wrote a list of all the things I was happy for, excited about and grateful for on that given day.  And by the time I finished the list, the energy and the vibration had shifted, and not yet the specific situation, but everything started clicking in place with other things. And then the next day, the situation was solved!  The problem was solved.

When we don’t know what to do, when we’re stuck in a rut or we’re stuck in a difficult issue or problem, let’s get out of our own way. Let’s pray and do our due diligence, take the steps we need to take to solve it.  And then make a list. Make a list and check it twice. Make a list of things you’re happy about, things you’re grateful for in your life, and anything you can think of to help to change / uplift your vibration. And watch the entire situation transform.
